Copper Patch Cables
Copper patch leads aren't the most exciting part of any network but never the less they perform an equally vital function as the hardware itself. Moreover an intelligent and coordinated patching scheme can make the installation and management of any network a far easier job, this is why Hardware.com stock copper patch leads in grey, red, green, blue, yellow, black, white, violet and pink. All of these colours are available in CAT5e and CAT6 cable. Cross over leads are available in grey, red and green.

Common Patch Cable Pin Configurations
Two wiring schemes have been adopted by the '568-B.1 and '11801:2002 standards. They are nearly identical except that pairs two and three are reversed. T568A is the preferred scheme because it is compatible with 1 or 2-pair USOC systems. Either configuration can be used for Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) and high speed data applications. Transmission categories 3, 5e, and 6 are only applicable to this type of pair grouping.
