Please provide as much information as possible including system diagnostics (e.g. ‘show tech’, ‘show diag’, ‘show module’, etc.). These can be attached as a .txt via the file upload.
If steps have been taken to resolve the problem, for example if the product was tested in another host device, please provide a detailed description.
Typically the following additional information is required:
Linecard and/or Add-In Modules:
details of the host device the linecard/module was installed into
additional linecards/modules in the host device
specification of the host device (memory, software image)
Chassis based device:
a list of modules in the chassis
details of the installed power supplies
Memory modules:
details of the host device
specification of the host device (initial memory size, software image)
does the host device function with the default memory re-installed
GBICS and SFP Optics:
details of the host device
specification of the host device (memory size, software image)
linecard the optic was installed into
has all cabling been verified
any error messages from the host device
Cables:
details of the host device
specification of the linecard the cable was connected to (if applicable)
details of the port(s) the cable has been connected to
configuration settings of the port(s) the cable was connected to
details of any error messages displayed by the host device
