IT budgets are always tight and savings hard to come by without compromising on quality. So how does one save an additional 20% on an existing quote?
By the very nature of the fact you are purchasing networking equipment, it stands to reason equipment is being upgraded or replaced. The redundant equipment is not worthless, even if it has been written off by your finance department - it is highly likely to have a considerable value. Hardware.com can help you to realise that value.

We offer two methods to realising value from excess network equipment:
Every month Hardware.com pays out thousands of pounds to suppliers of used and new networking products worldwide (including manufacturers such as Cisco, Nortel, Juniper, Extreme, Riverstone, Enterasys, Foundry and Sun).

We are always in need of surplus networking equipment, and kindled with our independent status, this enables us to offer considerably more than our competitors plus accept equipment that would usually be refused by official channels.
Our professional and experienced purchasing teams respond rapidly, clearly and concisely with market leading quotes for equipment ranging from low value one-off items to millions of pounds in large scale buy outs. No deal is too small and you can be assured that Hardware.com will offer the highest value for your excess network equipment.
It always proves difficult to obtain the required level of technical information at a point when time is critical and tight deadlines have to be met. We look to alleviate this headache, offering professional advice on how you need to plan, implement, run, and maintain an efficient network environment. Areas of consultancy include:
Network Designing
Should you require a helping hand in designing your network or if you need assurance that you have covered all aspects at the design stage, we can oversee your plans and offer independent advice. We recommend solutions that can cover networking areas such as LAN/WAN, Security, Storage, Printers, Internet, Email, Backup or simple Desktop systems.
Troubleshooting
Some network problems seem to have no cause! Our experts will analyse the network conditions to find an explanation and more importantly, a solution.
Application Analysis
This analysis is suitable for those who are about to roll out an application or for those who are disappointed with the service they are experiencing. We can provide a breakdown of how the application actually works across the network and also detail the modifications required to improve performance.
At a time when IT networks are becoming larger, more complex and heavily utilised it is essential that companies understand the importance of an efficiently maintained network. A well designed network will produce less downtime resulting in higher productivity, increased revenue and a more streamlined business.
The creation of a more efficient network starts with a stock check, inventory based approach where an experienced engineer visits your site and carries out a network health check. This can prove invaluable, saving time on future projects and assisting with diagnosis and network familiarisation.
The report prepared provides recommendations based on the customers specific requirements together with a detailed plan on how to implement them. This ensures that your network is functioning with optimal performance and that any required modifications are done economically and efficiently.
Rather than waiting for a problem to occur involve one of our Networking experts in the early stages of planning your network to ensure your customers' business runs smoothly and efficiently from day 1. For any planning questions or advice please contact us.

The below arrangement with one of current clients demonstrates our flexibility with regard to managing your surplus and redundant equipment:
If you have removed networking equipment from a building you are taking over, we can reduce the amount of time you spend dealing with it by offering to collect and do a full audit on the kit at no extra charge. Our engineers will test each piece in our lab and then send you the fully documented list with an offer. Upon agreement, we will forward payment to you along with any non working items or, should you prefer, we can dispose of them (in line with future/current WEEE legislation).
This worked particularly well for a current customer. They had several pallets of surplus equipment in storage and their engineers could not warrant setting aside their valuable time to sort through it. So we picked it up, tested and catalogued it for them.
From the final list there were a few items that were still useful to them which they asked us to re-box/re-label and deliver back to them. We did this for a nominal cost and even offered a one year warranty.
Their present arrangement is that when kit is taken out of use, they simply send it direct to us to do the above, i.e. bypassing storage and engineer costs.
With regards to payment, we can forward funds to you immediately or if it works better for your books, simply treat it as a trade in (as with the above client) where upon you will have credit with us until such time as you may need replacement equipment.
